NKT Volunteer Interest Form

Napier Kitchen Table is a cross-cultural church family working to be and show Jesus in the Napier neighborhood of South Nashville. We build community through authentic neighborhood relationships and daily ministry. We’re a church where the transformative love of God makes strangers into neighbors and neighbors into family.
Everyone is welcome at this table.

Thank you for being willing to serve our ministry by giving your time!

Please answer to the best of your ability, and we will try to accommodate.

Here are the primary volunteer opportunities at NKT:

KIDTOWN TEAM - A rewarding opportunity to help children learn about Jesus and bless families by allowing them to worship or meet in groups. Whether you want to hold babies, chase two-year-olds, or teach third graders, we’d love to have you.

FACILITIES TEAM - A hands-on opportunity to help clean the kitchen, organize the garage, or pick up the rooms. This helps the NKT team effectively run all of the programs and offerings throughout the week.

GRUNT TEAM - An ad-hoc opportunity to help move any items in Nashville to the Napier community. From donations to purchases, there are a variety of things like couches or dishwashers that need to get from point A to B, so this team would be contacted.

EVENTS TEAM - An ad-hoc opportunity to help run seasonal events throughout the year, like the Annual Fall Festival or Fish Fry at NKT. This team might help with setup and teardown or during the event itself.

MEALS TEAM - A tangible opportunity to help provide meals for those in the Napier community, the meals team will be given options to prepare or purchase a meal for groups on Mondays or on Wednesdays.

LITERACY TEAM - A hands-on opportunity to help support the Good News Clubs and other organizations run in the library at Napier Elementary. From games to songs to teaching, this is a great way to meet and reach children in the area.

GENERAL INTEREST - Not sure where to start, but want to get involved? We have other opportunities throughout the year. From running a produce stand to gathering toiletries, there are plenty of ways to get connected.

Feel free to expand upon any of the responses below and let us know anything that might be helpful as we work to match you with the right opportunity (i.e. any experience volunteering at a similar organization or a skill set that you might be able to offer).
